Projectopolis 2011
The team had a great time at Projectopolis 2011! This event is an exciting time for all the kids in our homeschool co-op, THINK Day, to display their LEGO creations and other building projects. Our parents engaged other interested adults and collected their names for a future workshop about forming and managing FLL and Jr. FLL teams. Once students watched the robot completing missions on the Body Forward field, you could feel the excitement from all the kids and tell that there was another FLL team ready to be formed!

TechnoForce Wins “Research Project” Award!
On January 2, 2010, FLL 3519 Team TechnoForce, competed in Camp Dorothy Thomas’ “Get Your Moves On” Tournament. After tweaking our performance after our debut tourney in December, TechnoForce was ready to rock! After opening ceremonies, we were one of the first teams to present in the Research Project category, and in doing so, captivated the judges! Parents and coaches could hear the rousing applause from the judges outside their room! It was very exciting! Way to go, TechnoForce!

TechnoForce Captures “Team Spirit” Award!
Congratulations to TechnoForce for capturing the “Team Spirit” award at the Darth Panthers’ “All I Want for Christmas is My NXT” tournament last weekend! This was our first tournament and an exciting time was had by all!

Thanksgiving and the Home Stretch
Today is Thanksgiving and out team has a lot to for which to be thankful!

We are so fortunate to have a team of kids who really like each other and are still friends this late in the season! The moms get along and work together tirelessly on chaperoning, chauffering, and catering. The FLL experience has truly been one of learning, bonding, and working together. We have all benefited greatly from the challenges presented in this program.
Now, we look ahead to our first tournament on Dec. 12, “All I Want for Christmas is My NXT!” sponsored by the Darth Panthers at the USF-Patel Charter School in Tampa. Over the next two weeks, we have a lot to get done, and it will be a hard push to the end. We are excited, but will certainly be tired once the tournament gets here. Go Team TechnoForce!!!
